Teaches proper squat form including feet positioning, tailbone movement, and knee alignment to prevent injury
Learn the correct form for performing a squat safely and effectively. This tutorial covers foot placement, proper hip and tailbone movement, and knee alignment to prevent injury while maximizing muscle engagement.
Stand with your feet about hip distance apart.
Think about your tailbone moving toward the back of the room as you begin to squat.
Push your hips back first. Your glutes should end up about level with your knees, or slightly lower. Keep your knees from tracking over your toes.
Your tailbone should be the last thing to come forward as you stand back up.
