Guided gentle full-body yoga flow for relaxation and stretching
A relaxing full-body yoga flow designed to ease tension and promote relaxation. This slow-paced guided practice includes gentle stretches for the hips, back, sides, and legs, ending with deep relaxation.
Start in a seated position, gently swaying from side to side on your sitbones. Let your hair be heavy and feel your body root down.
0Make gentle circles with your body, using your breath to guide the movement. Inhale to lift, exhale to soften. Let your head be heavy as you continue loosening up.
Sweep arms up to the sky and stretch over to each side, reaching through the fingers and lengthening through the sides of your body.
Sway your legs from side to side while seated, loosening up through the hips. Then swing legs around to come to all fours on your mat.
On hands and knees, alternate between dropping the belly and lifting the chin/chest (cow), then rounding the spine and tucking the chin (cat). Move with your breath.
Press back to downward-facing dog, gently rocking and bending one knee at a time to stretch through the legs. Walk it out and then lower down.
Lie on your back, hug the knees into your chest and sway gently. Extend one leg at a time, pointing and flexing the toes. Circle the ankle.
From supine position, drop one leg to the side for a twist while gazing over the opposite shoulder. Take deep belly breaths.
Hugging the knees into the chest, make circles with your knees to open through the hips. Continue in both directions.
Transition to happy baby pose by holding your feet in the air, or do butterfly pose with soles of feet together. Find stillness and feel sensations in the hips.
Shake out your arms and legs, then relax completely on your back. Take deep breaths and stay in this resting position as long as feels good.
