Learn how to quickly fix an accidentally punctured pipe using SharkBite Max fittings. This emergency repair requires no soldering, crimping, or professional plumber.
Locate and close your main water supply valve to stop water flow immediately.
Cut a small opening in the wall to access the damaged pipe section.
Cut out the damaged portion of the pipe using a pipe cutter.
Deburr the pipe ends and mark the proper insertion depth for the fitting.
Push the SharkBite Max straight coupling onto both pipe ends until you hit the depth marks for a watertight seal.
